SPTC Tutor awarded honorary doctorate from Yale
SPTC Tutor Dr Jane Williams was recently awarded an honorary doctorate at Yale University in the USA. She was invited by the Dean and President of Berkeley Divinity School at Yale, the Very Revd Joseph Britton. The doctorate was intended to honor Jane's work in 'promoting and encouraging the role of women in the Anglican Communion, as well as her own example as a theologian devoted to the proclamation of the gospel'. While she was awarded the prestigious degree at Yale Divinity School, she also gave the Louis Wetherbee Pitt Lecture on the subject of ‘Sin and Salvation’.
