One of the World's Leading C.S. Lewis Scholars Gives Annual Lecture

On Monday, November 16, Revd Dr Michael Ward, one of the world’s leading experts on C.S. Lewis, came to SPTC to give this year's Annual Lecture entitled 'Planet Narnia'.  Dr Ward spoke on a discovery he made in 2003 which he and many critics believe has finally unlocked the secret meaning of C.S. Lewis's famous Narnia stories.  Dr Ward has written his discovery into a book, Planet Narnia, which was profiled in a BBC 1 documentary at Easter 2009, called 'The Narnia Code'.

International Update

Following the successful launch of the SPTC School of Theology resources at St. Andrew's Mount Pleasant in Charleston, Christ Church in Kansas have just launched their own pilot programme of the School of Theology. 

 

Archbishop Rowan Williams hosts dinner at Lambeth Palace for SPTC

Friends of St Paul's Theological Centre attended a dinner at Lambeth Palace last week hosted by Archbishop Rowan Williams and his wife Jane. The Centre, which is part of London's St Mellitus College, provides theological education for around 20 ordination candidates each year and also offers courses for hundreds of lay people.

The School of Theology - registration now open

Registration is now open for the course that starts on 3rd October 2009 - book early to avoid disappointment as spaces fill up fast!

The School of Theology offers an opportunity to listen to some of the best thinkers and communicators of Christian faith today, to chew over these ideas with others, and a great way to get to know people who are on the same journey as you are.
